Cameron lost his first tooth today!!! We were having a nice turkey dinner as a pre-Christmas family celebration. While eating the turkey, he complained of his tooth hurting. Melissa and I assumed he had bitten a piece of bone but looked in his mouth to find a VERY loose bottom front tooth. After wiggling it around for a few minutes, Cameron was able to pull it out all on his own!!! The whole experience was a bit traumatic because he didn't know quite what to expect. He would instantly change from laughs to looks of near terror after the tooth was out and his mouth was slightly bleeding. After some time, any thought of tears gave way to excitement of the Tooth Fairy coming to visit him and leave a dollar. This thought of reward even prompted him to furiously wiggle the tooth next to the one that came out in hopes of dislodging it also!! The second tooth should be coming quickly and I'm sure he'll be excited about it (assuming the tooth fairy finds her way to his pillow). All of the attention being on Cameron made Bailey want to show us her teeth too.
